Our second project for Enterprise was the fit out from shell of a retail unit in the newly extended Arrivals Hall at Stansted Airport. Given the nature of the environment, Blue Fig had to work closely with members of the BAA property team to deliver the project in line with their strict security procedures. The majority of the project was undertaken out of hours from 8pm and deliveries were met at 5am. The project involved the installation of a new fire alarm system (in line with the airports specification), new sprinkler system, partitions, new ceramic tiled flooring, electrical and lighting installations and feature ceilings. The project was delivered on time to fit in with a previously planned official opening and the works were completed in 4 weeks. Following the successful fit out of this airport concession, Blue Fig was also appointed to undertake the refurbishment of another Enterprise concession at Gatwick Airports South Terminal in 2011.
