Our approach
Our approach is designed to keep you informed but also to allow you to carry on with your daily duties in the safe knowledge that the project is being professionally managed.
We won’t bombard you with countless new team members throughout the process; at Blue Fig you deal with the same 2 or 3 individuals (one of whom is the owner of the company) from the first meeting throughout the design and construction period to handover and beyond.
Every project is different but typically we:
- Examine your current working practices and analyse your workplace
requirements.
- Formulate the design brief in consultation with you to set out clearly
defined objectives in terms of requirements, flexibility, departmental
adjacencies and budget expectations.
- Produce Concept Design drawings for initial comment/approval
followed by space planning and where appropriate 3D visualisations.
Throughout the design stage we liaise with our Approved Inspectors to
advise on applicable Building Regulations.
- Discuss and advise on finishes and furnishings and produce sample
boards to demonstrate how and where they will be included in the scheme.
- Produce the scope of works, specification documents and costing
documentation - additional information such as documentation required
for any Licence for Alteration is also produced.
- Produce detailed design and construction drawings, programming
plans for final sign off.
- Fully manage the construction on site keeping you informed at every stage.
- Chair regular client project meetings throughout the works; handover
of the completed works takes place following quality assurance
inspections, commissioning and certification.
- Post contract support - we want you to be delighted with the results;
we also understand that businesses change so we’re on hand for small
works alterations as, when and if required.
